A connected, helmet-based rider-safety system combining sensing, embedded electronics, wireless connectivity, mobile and cloud -- advanced through pilot production.
Develop and integrate a connected rider-safety system combining sensing, embedded electronics, wireless communications, local intelligence, mobile software and cloud services, within the physical and operational constraints of a wearable, helmet-based product.
ATRI's confirmed work included product and system architecture, hardware/electronics engineering, PCB design, embedded firmware, sensor integration, RF/wireless and GNSS/location integration, industrial and mechanical design (including physical packaging and component integration), mobile application development, cloud/backend development, systems integration, testing and validation, prototype manufacturing and bring-up, field testing, and regulatory pre-compliance and certification preparation.
ATRI architected the system end to end, integrating sensing, embedded electronics, wireless communications and GNSS/location tracking into a helmet-based wearable product.
ATRI performed the physical integration of the electronics into the product, including packaging, component placement, enclosure and ergonomic/industrial-design engineering required for a wearable, helmet-based form factor.
ATRI developed the mobile application and cloud/backend supporting the system, and integrated open-source models with product-specific rules and embedded logic to implement offline voice and intelligent safety functions.
ATRI carried out systems integration, testing and validation, prototype manufacturing and bring-up, and field testing, and performed regulatory pre-compliance and certification preparation. The product progressed through prototype development, field testing, pre-certification activities and pilot production.
Functional scope included BLE communications for audio and data, GNSS/AGPS location, motion sensing, offline voice and wake-word functionality, crash/event detection, emergency-response functionality, a companion mobile application, and cloud/backend analytics. ATRI integrated open-source models with product-specific rules and embedded logic to implement the offline voice and intelligent safety functions -- ATRI did not develop proprietary foundation or machine learning models from scratch. Regulatory work performed to date is pre-compliance and certification preparation, not final certification.
The product has progressed through prototype development, field testing, pre-certification activities and pilot production.
