Engineering Challenge

A commercial product needed a power conversion and control platform that could reliably manage power delivery across varying load and environmental conditions, while meeting cost, size and manufacturability targets for volume production.

ATRI's Role

ATRI provided power electronics design, embedded control integration, mechanical and enclosure engineering, and design-for-manufacturing (DFM) review.

Engineering Approach

ATRI designed the power conversion architecture, including the AC/DC and DC/DC stages required to deliver and regulate power under the product's operating conditions.

ATRI developed the embedded control firmware managing power delivery, sequencing and protection logic.

ATRI engineered the mechanical enclosure and component layout alongside the electrical design, and carried out a design-for-manufacturing and design-for-assembly (DFMA) review to prepare the platform for volume production.

Real-World Considerations

Manufacturability at volume, thermal performance under real operating conditions, component sourcing and supply chain, and cost targets were treated as first-order design constraints alongside electrical performance.
