Our team successfully designed and developed a state-of-the-art smart helmet integrating advanced communication, health monitoring, and safety features. Not only does the SMART Helmet enhance overall riding experience, but it also helps reduce insurance costs by saving crucial accident and crash data for analysis.The project involved full-cycle development, from product architecture and hardware design to firmware, mobile application development, and prototype testing.

  • Product Architecture Development: Designed a modular, scalable system integrating multiple features seamlessly.

  • Hardware Design: Developed a robust PCB integrating Bluetooth, GPS, health sensors, and motion tracking components.

  • Firmware and Software Application Development: Built real-time embedded firmware supporting BLE communication, sensor interfacing, and cloud data transmission.

  • Prototype Manufacturing, Bring-up, and Testing: Created functional prototypes, tested hardware-software integration, and optimized performance.

  • Companion Mobile Application Development: Designed a cross-platform mobile app for device management, real-time data visualization, and cloud connectivity.

    • Utilized Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE 5.0) for efficient hands-free communication.

  • Vital Parameter Monitoring (Body Temperature, SPO2 & Heartbeat)

    • Embedded temperature sensor, pulse oximeter (SPO2), and heart rate monitor.

    • Integrated high-accuracy GNSS module with assisted GPS (AGPS).
